COMMUNITY MEETING TO DISCUSS SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT AND PARENT INVOLVEMENT AT MIAMI EDISON, MIAMI CENTRAL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS

The second public meeting to address school improvement issues related to Miami Edison and Miami Central senior high schools will be held on Tuesday, December 13 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Miami Central Senior High School, 1781 NW 95th St, Miami, FL 33147.

Representatives of the Florida Department of Education will be on hand to participate in a discussion specifically related to parent and community involvement in the urban core.

These meetings are a requirement of the appeals process that went to the Florida Board of Education earlier this year, when Miami Edison and Miami Central were facing possible closure under state accountability rules.

Boxed dinners will be served, and child care, transportation and door prizes will be provided.
