NATIONAL GROUNDHOG SHADOW DAY

National Groundhog Shadow Day

WHERE:

Various companies throughout Miami-Dade County

WHY:

National Groundhog Shadow Day supports student learning taking place beyond the four walls of a classroom. It provides students with the opportunity to see the connection between academics and the demands of the workforce. 

This event is part of the District’s partnership and involvement in the One Community One Goal Targeted Industry Implementation Plan to encourage business engagement in education and build students’ career readiness. Students in career-themed academies including Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism, Finance, Information Technology and Health Sciences are also preparing for summer internships.
