VETERAN ADMINISTRATOR DR. DULCE DE VILLA RECEIVES PROCLAMATION FROM MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

Dr. Dulce Maria de Villa, a seasoned Miami-Dade County Public Schools administrator received a proclamation from the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners for her leadership and compassion as an educator. De Villa was honored during a recent countywide event held at the DoubleTree Hotel and Resort in Miami. Mayor Carlos Gimenez and Chairwoman Rebeca Sosa and the members of the Board of County Commissioners proclaimed Friday, February 1, 2013 as Dr. Dulce Maria de Villa Day in her honor.

“It is a true and unexpected honor to be recognized for something I love doing,” said Dr. de Villa. “Our students are the ultimate recipients of what an educated adult population gives back to our community.”

De Villa was honored due to her superlative record of professional service as an exemplary administrator and principal for several adult vocational centers including The English Center, where she has made a tremendous difference in the efficiency of the school’s daily operations.
