HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS BASKETBALL TROUPE TO VISIT PALMETTO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Harlem Globetrotters star Special K Daley will be at Palmetto Elementary School on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m. to present the team’s ABCs of Bullying Prevention – using Action, Bravery, and Compassion to combat bullying. The school is located at 12401 South West 74th Ave, in Pinecrest. A native of Panama, Kevin "Special K" Daley, who is bilingual, is in Miami in advance of the Globetrotters game at American Airlines Arena next Sunday. During the school program, when Special K asks for volunteers, the students will have a special surprise – a visit from “Amos the Wonder Horse,” a 12-year-old, basketball-playing miniature horse. Amos, who is known for his therapy work with youth throughout South Florida, is the Globetrotters’ goodwill ambassador and often joins them on their tour to stop bullying in schools. The Globetrotters are known as the original “Ambassadors of Goodwill” have presented their anti-bullying program to 400 schools around the country this year. # # # 13-JS/040/HD
