AMERICAN SENIOR HIGH GRADUATE CHOSEN AS MISS CARNAVAL MIAMI 2013

Lorena Placencia, a graduate of American Senior High School, was selected by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana as Miss Carnaval Miami 2013.  Ms. Placencia recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University where she received a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing.  

She has previously served as Miss Florida U.S. International 2011 and has participated in numerous television and modeling events.  Ms. Placencia is also involved in the community through volunteering at Catholic Charities, an experience that she says has changed her life.
