M-DCPS TO CONDUCT PUBLIC HEARING ON DISPARITY STUDY

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is conducting a Disparity Study and invites all interested parties to a public hearing. The Disparity Study will review the utilization of Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) for the Miami-Dade County Public School District.

The study will examine:  the procurement of construction and construction and design-related professional services for the District, the subcontracting practices of prime contractors who do business with the District, and the anecdotal evidence collected from a broad cross section of M/WBE and non-M/WBE firms.

The purpose of the public hearing is to obtain testimony and accounts of experiences by construction and construction and design-related professional services firms working with or seeking work from Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
