M-DCPS ADMINISTRATOR TO BE HONORED DURING Iraida R. Mendez-Cartaya, Assistant Superintendent of Intergovernmental Affairs, Grants Administration, and Community Engagement, will be honored on Thursday, April 4 with the Nancy Hughes Community Commitment Award during the 2013 Miami-Dade County Days in Tallahassee. The awards luncheon will be held at the Double Tree Hotel ballroom, 101 South Adams Street, Tallahassee. The annual award is named for the late Nancy Hughes, a longtime figure in Florida state government, who had served as executive director of the Miami-Dade County Legislative Delegation, and director of government affairs for the Dade County Public Health Trust.
