MIAMI SPRINGS HIGH CELEBRATES 26th ANNIVERSARY OF ACADEMY OF HOSPITALITY & TOURISM WITH RIBBON-CUTTING DEDICATION

Miami-Dade School Board Member Susie Castillo, Miami Springs High alumni, Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (AOHT) business partners, District school administrators and interested citizens

Ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating 26 years of success and dedicating the Hawk’s Nest Event Room sponsored by the Hyatt Regency Miami

WHY:

The Academy of Hospitality & Tourism magnet program was established in 1987, through a partnership between the American Express Foundation and the school district to prepare students for college and careers in the hospitality and tourism industries.

The Hawk’s Nest Event room will operate as a student enterprise that will serve clubs and organizations in the school.

A member program of the National Academy Foundation, more than 1,500 AOHT students have graduated since its inception.
