MIAMI CORAL PARK SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVES TOP HONORS AT FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMPETITION

Two world language teams from Miami Coral Park Senior High School recently won first place in the French and Spanish categories at the Foreign Language Competition of Miami-Dade County. The Spanish team has the distinction of dominating the category for the past six years.

The competition challenges Italian, French, Spanish and German student teams in various categories including skit or drama, declamation, impromptu speech and project. The students compete as individuals in all categories and as a team in the skit or drama category.

The district’s Bilingual Education and World Languages Department provides curriculum leadership and instructional support for the development of literacy
in English and other languages in order to positively impact student achievement
and promote lifelong learning.
