SCHOOL FOR ADVANCED STUDIES (SAS) WINS
2013 STATE MOOT COURT COMPETITION

The School for Advanced Studies’ (SAS) Moot Court Team competed in the Florida Moot Court Competition in Tallahassee, on May 2-3, 2013.  The team, comprised of Jennifer Mosquera and Lisset Pino-Ros, advanced through various levels, ultimately arguing their case in the final round at the Florida Supreme Court. The final round was judged by the Florida Supreme Court Justices.

The SAS team was selected as the 2013 Florida State Moot Court Champions. This is the second time in three years that SAS has placed first statewide. In 2012, the school placed second.

The competition is sponsored by the Florida Law Related Association. The SAS coach is Dr. Derrick Johnson, SAS AP American government teacher.
