M-DCPS STUDENTS RECEIVE BROAD PRIZE SCHOLARSHIPS
Twenty-nine students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) were awarded Broad Prize college scholarships from the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation. One million dollars in scholarships were distributed to 54 graduating seniors whose school districts were honored as Broad Prize finalists.
Last fall, M-DCPS received the coveted Broad Prize for Urban Education. The annual award honors urban school districts that are making the greatest progress in raising student achievement. The school district received $550,000 in scholarships. The recipients each receive a two-year scholarship valued at $5,000 or a four-year scholarship valued at $20,000.
