The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce honored Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho as the recipient of the Jan Pfeiffer Distinguished Service Award during the 91st Annual Dinner Gala this past Saturday at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The Jan Pfeiffer Distinguished Service Award has been presented annually since 1987 to an individual or company whose extraordinary community involvement has generated extensive contributions to South Florida.
