***PHOTO RELEASE*** SOUTH FLORIDA GOLF LEGEND AWARDED
Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho awarded an honorary high school diploma to South Florida golf legend Charles DeLucca, Sr. during Miami Edison Senior High School’s commencement ceremony at Miami’s Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, June 5. DeLucca, a golf entrepreneur who was inducted into the South Florida PGA Hall of Fame in 2003, attended Edison during the 1950’s, but did not graduate because of an undiagnosed eye condition that rendered him unable to read. Carvalho recognized DeLucca for his dedication to our community and its youth, before presenting him with the diploma.
