M-DCPS 'ECO-HERO' TO BE FEATURED IN
DOCUMENTARY AIRING SEPT. 1

Kelsey Peeples, a student at South Miami Middle School, was named the winner of Zoo Miami's and WPLG Local 10’s “Eco-Hero” contest held in April.  Kelsey won the opportunity to travel to Peru with Zoo Miami’s Ron Magill and Local 10 anchor Kristi Krueger, where they filmed a documentary about the Peruvian Amazon, Cuzco, and Machu Picchu.

The documentary, titled “Journey to the Lost City,” will air on Sunday, September 1 at 8 p.m. on WPLG Local 10.
