Paint Box Tent at the Miami International Book Fair

W.J. Bryan Elementary Museums Magnet School’s second-grade class wrote and illustrated the book, Judnique and Daiysis Defeat Seth after touring the Egyptian Exhibition on view at Bass Museum of Art. Captivated by the ancient objects and the history of this mysterious civilization, the students created a fictional storybook with hand-painted illustrations in collaboration with the education department of the museum. The writers and illustrators of the book will be holding a book signing to celebrate their achievements during IDEA@thebass Family Day at the museum.

Copies of the book are available at elemental@thebass, the museum’s gift shop and will be sold at the Miami International Book Fair.  The money collected will go into the magnet funds to provide financing for more unique projects like this one.  The book has been published and is listed in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
