SUPERINTENDENT CARVALHO TO PRESENT KEYNOTE ADDRESS
AT ACT ANNUAL MEETING

Miami-Dade Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho will present the keynote address at the ACT Annual Meeting in Iowa City, Iowa today.  Carvalho is scheduled to speak on Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ successes, the changing nature of society as exemplified in Miami-Dade, and the challenges and opportunities those changes present.

Carvalho will speak before an audience of approximately 1,000 people, including ACT’s Board of Directors, staff, and state representatives, and local school and government officials. ACT is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people achieve education and workplace success and increasing college and career readiness.
