"Campus Shield" se yon pwogram inovatif "Miami-Dade Schools Police (MDSP)" (Polis Lekòl Miami-Dade) pilote ki bay yon andwa santral pou resevwa, jere, e pibliye enfòmasyon ki gen rapò ak menas sou sekirite lekòl.  Sistèm nan fasilite pataj enfòmasyon ant diferan ajans ki ka benefisye lekòl ak elèv nan adrese menas anvan yo tounen aksyon.

CSSI se yon efò rechèch gran-echèl, plizyè-ajans pou devlope konesans sou apwòch efikas pou ogmante sekirite lekòl nan atravè peyi a.  Atravè CSSI, 24 pwojè rechèch resevwa finansman anba de (2) solisitasyon diferan.  M-DCPS resevwa finansman anba "Devlope Konesans sou Sa ki Efikas pou Fè Lekòl Gen Sekirite." Lòt solisitasyon an konsantre sou "Rechèch Envestigatè Inisye."

NIJ gen responsablite prensipal pou CSSI; sepandan, pwogram nan se yon efò kolaboratif pami plis pase 20 patnè federal, ki gen ladan Depatman Jistis, Depatman Edikasyon, Depatman Sante ak Sèvis Imen, Depatman Sekirite Teritoryal, ak Depatman Trezò.  Objektif CSSI se: kolekte done nivo-nasyonal; pou konvoke moun ki gen enterè pou yo idantifye e pataje pi bon pratik; e fè rechèch inovatif e evalye pwojè pilòt nan distri lekòl yo.
