RETIRED ARTS TEACHER NAMED RECIPIENT OF THE 2015 ELEMENTARY ART EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Retired arts teacher, Patricia Cummins, was named the recipient of the 2015 Elementary Art Educator of the Year Award by the Florida Arts Education Association. The award will be presented at their Awards Breakfast on Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 a.m. at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida.

Cummins, a retired elementary art teacher who worked for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 36 years, was nominated for this prestigious award by School Board Vice Chair Dr. Lawrence S. Feldman.

The Florida Art Education Association (FAEA) is a membership association dedicated to providing visual art educators in Florida with the knowledge, skills and support that will ensure the highest quality instruction possible to all students in Florida.
