WEATHER FORECASTS GIVE OPTIMISM FOR CLASSES ON MONDAY Recent forecasts from the National Hurricane Center indicate a dissipation of Tropical Storm Erika as well as a more western movement of the storm, suggesting a more favorable outlook for classes on Monday, August 31, 2015. Miami-Dade County Public Schools safety administrators anticipate schools will be open on Monday but continue to monitor the situation throughout the weekend and will provide updates as needed, due to a continuing possibility of heavy rains and localized flooding.
