WHY:

On any given day, 5.7 percent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) students are absent from school. That’s more than 20,000 children. The absence negatively impacts all students regardless of grade and subjects. M-DCPS is kicking off its iAttend M-DCPS Initiative to inform parents and students about the correlation between regular attendance and school success.

Other community organizations, including the Miami HEAT and Miami Dolphins, have also committed in joining M-DCPS in this important initiative.
