M-DCPS LAUNCHES ITS BIGGEST CHARITY CAMPAIGN, UNITED WAY, WITH SPECIAL MURAL UNVEILING EVENT Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) launched its annual fundraising drive benefiting United Way of Miami-Dade. Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho, School Board members and United Way of Miami-Dade President and CEO Harve A. Mogul marked the launch of the drive with the unveiling of a mural at Citrus Grove Elementary School. The 200-foot mural, designed by Miami artist Michael Halley, was painted by 80 United Way Young Leaders. The campaign is United Way’s largest public school fundraising initiative in the nation. For more than 40 years, M-DCPS and United Way have built a strong partnership to enhance the lives of children and families in our community.
