M-DCPS HOSTS BOND PROJECT RIBBON-CUTTING EVENT Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho, School Board Member Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, staff, students and community leaders gathered at Van E. Blanton Elementary School today for a bond project ribbon-cutting event resulting from the overwhelming voter approval of the $1.2 billion General Obligation Bond. The Van E. Blanton Elementary School renovation project includes renovations and technological upgrades. The total value of the project was $2.2 million.
