WHY: |
Roughly 58 percent of the seniors at SAS have been accepted into the top 50 colleges across the country. Eighteen of these students were accepted into the eight Ivy League schools. The School for Advanced Studies Academic Signing Ceremony will include 167 seniors, which represent the school’s Wolfson, Kendall, North and Homestead campuses. In addition, 98 percent of the Class of 2015 has earned their Associate in Arts degree. Superintendent Carvalho will offer remarks.
SAS is a nationally recognized collegiate high school of excellence, a combined effort of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Miami-Dade College (MDC). Students attending SAS complete their last two years of high school while attending MDC. The opportunity for acceleration and enrichment attracts motivated and academically talented students. SAS boasts a family-like environment, small school setting, and focus on a quality education.
