WHY:
Miami Senior High School will host the ceremony as well as receive recognition as one of the winners in the Outstanding Award for Restoration and Rehabilitation category. The event is free and open to the public. Opened in 1928, Miami Senior High has been called “The Biltmore of Education.”  Miami’s first high school has been renovated and restored to its original splendor, expanded with new additions, and upgraded with state-of-the-art instructional technology. Miami High is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The renovations were in partnership with Zyscovich Architects.
