SCHOOL BOARD SWEARING-IN CEREMONY The School Board of Miami-Dade County will hold a swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed Board member Lubby Navarro at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the School Board Administration Building, 1450 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami, FL 33132. Ms. Navarro was appointed on February 13, 2015 by Gov. Rick Scott to fill the District 7 seat vacated by Carlos Curbelo. She has nearly 20 years of public service experience, most recently serving as the executive director of Intergovernmental Affairs for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She serves as a member of many community organizations including the Miami-Dade County Redland Community Council 14 and the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Seventh Coast Guard District; Division 6; and Flotilla 65 in South Dade.
