Last month, Neva King Cooper Educational Center employee Leroy Dixon collapsed in the cafeteria, suffering a heart attack. Three heroic school employees immediately went into action to save Mr. Dixon’s life. Integrity Nurse Pamela Coleman, Teacher Frank Lozada, and Principal Dr. Tracy Roos, administered CPR and skillfully applied the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) until paramedics arrived. Superintendent Carvalho will recognize these brave, heroic individuals who kept their calm and focus during a tense situation and helped to save the life of another employee. The employee whose life was saved will also be in attendance.
