Ribbon-cutting ceremony for newly renovated North Beach Elementary General Obligation Bond Event

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is hosting special events across the school district to celebrate completed school bond projects resulting from the overwhelming voter approval of the $1.2 billion General Obligation Bond. The bond is being used to modernize and construct school buildings throughout the district, expand student capacity, enhance facility safety, and provide technology upgrades at all schools.

The renovations that were completed on time and at cost were: new classroom technology throughout the school, air conditioning unit replacements at various places, HVAC and EMS controls replacement, aluminum-window replacement at selective locations, new security camera system, new drinking fountains, and new emergency lights and exit signs in the school. The total value of the project was nearly $2 million.
