Ana Rubio Announced as LifeChanger of the Year by the National Life Group Foundation

LifeChanger of the Year is a national program that recognizes educators and school employees who make a positive difference in the lives of students.
Ana Rubio a physical education teacher at Earlington Heights Elementary School (EHES) was named as the winner of the 2016-2017 National Life Group Foundation’s LifeChanger of the Year. Rubio is the founder of Streamline Miami http://www.streamlinemiami.org, a non-profit that helps underprivileged students stay active and healthy after school.
Along with the honor of being chosen as the winner among 720 teachers, administrators and school district employees from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Ms. Rubio was awarded $5,000. A matching $5,000 was awarded to EHES.
Staff members and students from multiple schools will gather at EHES to recognize Ana and to honor Miami-Dade educators with a Teachers’ Appreciation Week parade and celebration.
