Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) will be hosting special events across the county to kick off school bond projects resulting from the overwhelming voter approval of the $1.2 billion General Obligation Bond (GOB). The bond is being used to modernize and construct school buildings throughout the District, expand student capacity, enhance facility safety, and provide technology upgrades at all schools.
M.C. Harry & Associates and Link Construction Group, Inc. are the architect and construction manager, respectively, commissioned to deliver the $6.1 million project.
The scope of work encompasses: portable demolition; new bus drop-off; new covered walkway; resurface & restripe basketball courts; new softball dugout; exterior paint throughout; HVAC System-wide improvement including EMS controls; selective flooring, ceiling tile & grid replacement; selective exterior doors replacement; restroom improvements; water coolers replacement; electrical upgrades; gymnasium bleachers restoration; new scoreboard; and miscellaneous upgrades throughout.
