Fifth Annual MEGA Student Industry Conference
Tuesday, May 15, 2018,
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Miami Airport & Convention Center at Doubletree by Hilton
711 N.W. 72nd Avenue

Superintendent Carvalho will bring greetings to more than 1,500 students, who will have the opportunity to hear from business and industry leaders. The conference will deepen the impact of preparing students to be future ready. The conference theme, “Developing Our Leaders and Innovators,” will thread the concept of developing an entrepreneurial mindset in all sessions.
The event is part of an ongoing effort to provide career academy students with insight into the importance of college, career and life readiness. The conference features break-out sessions, a college/career fair and interviews by industry professionals with students eligible for summer internships. This initiative also aligns with the District’s partnership and involvement in the One Community One Goal targeted industry Implementation Plan.
Boston’s Bank of America Senior Vice President Anu Chitrapu will be the keynote speaker.
