WHY:
As the District prepares to launch a new school year on Monday, Aug. 20, the Department of Transportation will be doing a dry run of its school bus fleet. The 820 buses will be undertaking the massive operation of transporting nearly 50,000 Miami-Dade school children daily via 820 routes in the county.
VISUALS:
• The best opportunity to get video of the roll out will be at 8:15 sharp.
• The media will also have an opportunity to interview bus drivers and view the buses.
• Safety features on all the buses.
