Healthy Meals, Healthy Minds: M-DCPS Showcases New Free School Breakfast & School Lunch and New Menu Items

(Entrance to complex is at S.W. 4th Street between 69th Avenue and 72nd Avenue.)
WHY:
M-DCPS’ Department of Food and Nutrition is offering media a
behind-the-scenes look at their Test Kitchen to showcase the District’s new
menu items. Once again, breakfast and lunch for students will be free of
charge.
The new menu items include:
a whole grain ham & cheese breakfast croissant, whole grain
cranberry orange scone, sliced pumpkin bread, red pepper frittata, pan de bono
bites, Philly beef steak, roasted chicken drumsticks, BBQ pork rib patty, and a
white garlic pizza, along with featured daily menu items including garden
salads, sandwiches and assorted fresh fruit.
