Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) continues
to partner with the Florida Department of Health (DOH) and the University of
Miami Health System (UHealth) Pediatric Mobile Clinic to offer vaccines and
testing at dozens of schools throughout the District.
The UHealth Pediatric Mobile Clinic sites will offer
the COVID-19 vaccine as well as the flu vaccine and COVID-19 testing. COVID-19
vaccine booster shots will also be available to eligible students.
UHealth will also be providing the mandatory
school-required vaccines for the 2022-2023 school year, for students entering
kindergarten and 7th grade in the fall, and for any student that is missing a
school-age vaccine. Parents can avoid the summer rush by getting their children
vaccinated during the school day.
Attached are fliers in English, Spanish and
Haitian-Creole listing the vaccination locations, dates and times throughout May
that are available to the community.
To be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, students
MUST be at least five years old on the day they are receiving it. They must
also have a completed COVID-19 vaccine screening and consent form, which will
be available at the sites. Walk-ups are welcome.
Through the District’s partnership with DOH, the
COVID-19 pediatric vaccine also will be offered to students at select school
sites. Eligible students will be contacted by staff from their school. Parents
of children receiving the vaccine at schools that partnered with DOH do not
need to be present, but they must complete and return the vaccine screening and
consent form to their child’s school.
