Miami-Dade County Public
Schools (M-DCPS) is partnering with the Florida’s Summer BreakSpot program to
keep children healthy and well-nourished while school is out. Children up to 18
years old can enjoy breakfast and lunch no cost to them during the summer.
The meals will be served at more than 190 M-DCPS
schools between June 12 and August 4. There are no income requirements or
registration. Any child – up to age 18 – may come to eat. Meals must be
consumed on site as there is no longer any grab-and-go service.
Serving summer meals to the students when school is not in session is an important service that we are able to provide. There are two ways to find a Summer BreakSpot site for breakfast and lunch. Visit Summer305, or www.SummerBreakSpot.org.
