Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) has been ranked third in the state in the 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Challenge, according to the Florida College Access Network. FAFSA offers students potential ways to finance their education, including grants and loans, which is an important step for students seeking to finance their postsecondary education.
The yearly challenge, which began in 2015, encourages all Florida schools and districts to increase their FAFSA completion rate by five percentage points over the previous year. M-DCPS surpassed all the other large districts in Florida with a completion rate of 66.7 percent, and clearly demonstrates a commitment to ensuring that students graduate with a postsecondary education plan.
Through M-DCPS’ College Assistance Program, we are continuing our efforts to support current seniors and their families with the newly revised 2024-2025 FAFSA via community and school site FAFSA completion events.
