What's the Perfect School for Your Child? Find Every Option at M-DCPS Choice Expos

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is inviting families to explore a world of opportunities at the upcoming Choice Expos & Showcases. These free, regional events are designed to help parents and students discover programs and schools that best match their goals, interests, and needs.

The expos will take place on three Saturdays across Miami-Dade County. The South Choice Expo is on November 15, 2025, at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. The Central Choice Expo follows on December 13, 2025, at Miami Dade College West Campus. The North Choice Expo will be held on January 10, 2026, at Miami Dade College North Campus. Each event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and features schools from its respective region.

“Our mission is to make sure every student in Miami-Dade County has access to an excellent education; one that ignites their passions and prepares them for success in college, career, and life,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jose L. Dotres. “These Choice Expos are a celebration of opportunity, innovation, and the incredible talent within our schools.”

Each expo will showcase dozens of M-DCPS schools and departments under one roof. Families can meet educators, enjoy student performances, and speak directly with experts who will guide them through the wide range of educational choices, from early childhood to career and technical education.

With Magnet and VPK applications currently open, these events arrive at the perfect time for families to explore options, get expert advice, and make informed decisions before deadlines approach.

M-DCPS encourages families to pre-register for the expo that is most convenient for them. Pre-registration ensures faster entry and personalized on-site guidance.

What Families Will Find at the Choice Expos & Showcases:

Families can explore programs and services for every stage of a child’s education, all in one place.

?     Early Childhood Education: Explore VPK, Early Head Start, and Head Start programs that help families choose the right early learning path.

?     Magnet, Advanced Academics & Career Technical Education (CTE): Discover hands-on and advanced programs that prepare students for future careers and college, including Dual Enrollment, Gifted, AP, Cambridge, IB, and technical certification options.

?    Postsecondary Career and Technical Education: Learn about ESOL courses for families, and opportunities to earn industry certifications and college credits, all designed to help students begin their technical education or career journey right after high school.

?     Student Services, Mental Health & Health Services: Meet with experts offering academic advising, graduation coaching, counseling, and health consultations from school nurses and wellness professionals.

?     Food & Nutrition & Transportation: Get information on daily meal programs, PayPams deposits, BusPlanner GPS tracking, and the district’s electric bus fleet.

?     Parent Academy & Family Engagement: Access workshops and training sessions to strengthen parent involvement and communication; available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.

?     Human Resources: Meet with representatives about employment opportunities and career paths within M-DCPS.
