M-DCPS Offers Resources for Families to Explore Transition to Kindergarten Opportunities for the 2026–2027 School Year

Starting kindergarten is an important milestone, and early connections with schools help build confidence for both students and families. To ensure that students feel comfortable in their new school environment on day one, Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is inviting families of incoming kindergarten students to connect with their new school and participate in the Transition to Kindergarten (TTK) activities. 

The Transition to Kindergarten initiative is designed to support a smooth and successful start to elementary school. Families can contact their assigned neighborhood school to learn more about upcoming campus tours, orientation opportunities, and enrollment information. Through TTK, families can expect:

• Opportunities to visit and tour their child’s future school 

• Information about kindergarten expectations and daily routines 

• Resources to support learning at home
