Five M-DCPS Schools Ranked Among Nation’s Top 100 High Schools by U.S. News & World Report
U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of the nation’s best schools is out, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) has solidified its place of excellence with five of our high schools appearing among the Top 100 Best High Schools in the U.S. Additionally, 15 M-DCPS high schools rank in Florida's Top 50.
U.S. News & World Report’s list of the 2026-27 Best High Schools in America is based on a review of nearly 25,000 traditional public, magnet, and charter high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The list ranks 27,267 schools nationally.
The magazine ranks high schools based on six criteria: College Readiness (30%), State Assessment Proficiency (20%), State Assessment Performance (20%), Underserved Student Performance (10%), College Curriculum Breadth (10%), and Graduation Rate (10%).

#87 TERRA Environmental Research Institute
