M-DCPS AP Performance Soars Past State Averages

The College Board has released its 2026 Advanced Placement (AP) examination results, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) continues to demonstrate strong academic performance. An impressive 73% of M-DCPS AP exams earned a qualifying score of 3 or higher, exceeding Florida’s rate by 5 percentage points and matching the global average among all AP exam takers worldwide.

The AP program offers students the opportunity to engage in rigorous, college-level coursework across a broad range of disciplines, including the arts, humanities, science, mathematics, computer science, and social sciences. Students who earn a score of 3 or higher on an AP exam may qualify for college credit at many colleges and universities, potentially reducing the time and cost required to complete a college degree.
