The School Board of Miami-Dade County Was Awarded Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 41st Year

The School Board of Miami-Dade County has been awarded the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award (COE) for high-quality financial reporting of its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024. The District’s participation in the COE program for the past 41 years is a testament to its commitment to financial transparency. 

This prestigious award is presented to school districts that meet ASBO International’s rigorous standards for financial transparency and accountability. By participating in the COE program, Miami-Dade County Public Schools demonstrates its commitment to these principles. 

Applicants submit their ACFR for review by a team of financial professionals, who provide feedback to improve future documents. If the report meets the requirements of the program, it may receive the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. A district’s participation in the COE program can facilitate bond-rating and continuing bond-disclosure processes.
